Based on Sutahiro's original manga "Wadaiko Girls".
Tamaki Matsuzawa (Ayaka Konno) grew up in a wealthy family, at the top of the hierarchy at her all-girls school, until her father's company goes bankrupt and her life is turned upside down. Unable to tell anyone about her situation, Tamaki feels like she has nowhere to go when she hears the sound of her classmate Maria Niijima (Sayu Kubota) playing the taiko. Maria had suffered vocal cord damage from a car accident and lost her ability to speak. Drawn in by the taiko, Tamaki is able to open her heart up little by little, as she goes through the struggles of life with Maria and the taiko club. This story depicts the moment when outcasts, struggling to connect with others, are brought together by "sound".
