Saku Urushibara is a fresh man of an art university in Kyoto and is drawn into a contemporary music study group. However, there was his half-brother, Taisei Takashino, who inspired Saku to move away from music, and Taisei's girlfriend, Sayo, Saku's longing. Taisei is attracting attention as a genius composer, and Saku is distressed at Saya, who loves Taisei all the time. Saku feels shapes and colors as "sounds" ringing in his head since childhood, soon learns that they can be expressed through contemporary music. Then, Saku meets Nagi Naniwa who understands the sounds of nature like him, and unleashes his lurking talent.
